It's my first time EVER in Paris, France. The Arc de Triomphe was lovely, The Eiffel Tower was a moment for me, and Moulin Rouge was WILD.

Congrats on your trip to Paris. I was there 15 years ago and would love to go back for a third time. I love Europe. I always wanted to see Notre Dame and was fortunate enough to see it before the fire. Will never forget it.

Aw, that's so nice JoJo to share your only goal was to help take your family with you to Disney. My parents are separated as well, and my brother and I were able to fund a trip with our mom to Disney World our Junior Year of High School and it meant so much to us. We hadn't visited since we were very young when our parents were still together.

I used to have an apartment in Paris and I've 1) never walked over the pedestrian bridge to the Eiffel Tower, and 2) never been to Moulin Rouge. I now live 5000 miles away, and I loved loved loved seeing it through your eyes. So glad you got to experience it!

Moulin Rouge is a variety show.
The movie isn't based on any actual story from the Moulin Rouge. So, there isn't a plot.
Originally, the shows were considered scandalous because the female dancers showed off their legs underneath their dresses with high kicks and acrobatics. But, there was a famous painter named Toulouse Lautrec who painted the women and captured moments from the show and made it "classy" to go see.
So, don't worry- the language barrier didn't stop you from understanding the plot... there wasn't one.

Next time check out the different bridges, they‘re all unique and beautiful! You also gotta see the Eiffel Tower at night and don‘t forget the Sacre Coeur, it‘s quite close to the Moulin Rouge.

When you mentioned the Broadway show, I started to laugh realizing you were going to the authentic club that the movie and shows were based upon. The club where Toulouse lau Trec sat in the audience. Such a historical venue, home of the cancan. You had no idea. You are so authentic and honest and got really lucky.
