What a Model United Nation (MUN) Conference really looks like.

As the rain clouds rolled over Pendle Hill this morning, I knew it was going to be a brilliant day. Why? Because today Stonyhurst would host its annual Model United Nations conference.

This is the second time the event has been put on, and after last year’s great success, everyone had high expectations for today’s event. Eleven schools from far and wide have traveled to the school for the event, with one delegate telling me that he was on a coach at 5am!

A massive thank you to the hard work of everyone that put together today’s event. It would simply not have been possible without Mrs Kirkby and Mr Ryan’s efforts as well as Secretary General, Victoria, and Deputy Secretary General, Antonina, who have worked so hard to organise this brilliant event.

This year it was an honour to welcome Dirk Glaeßer, the Director of the Sustainable Development of Tourism Department at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), as our guest speaker.
