Thank you for showing how to use this machine! As a person very new to electronics it has felt kinda overwhelming.
Your instructions are very much appreciated!♡♡♡ :)

Thanks Ape, always a good overview of the product.

Your resistance measurements are jumping all over the place because the probes are not making proper contact as the breadboard is moving around.

I rarely use mine now as I have the ut139e and the ut61e+, however this is the meter I recommend as the first one to buy. It’s accurate enough, can measure μΑ, a good size and has the temperature probe. In fact, out of the three I own the only one I say not to buy for is the ut61e+. It’s a waste of money when the far better ut139e is only about £6 more.

Love that 8008 small guy! I have the blue and red one.

Thanks for the video. You say you wouldn't use this only for electronic and desktop type work... Am I correct in understanding that in your opinion it would not be a safe enough choice for home electric work (230v)? Thanks

I am going to re-cap an old Pioneer 70s Hifi amplifier ( a SA-9800). Is this multimeter reliable concerning the voltages in the amp or should I get something else? If so, what?

When thinking of it I also have a very old Akai M-8 Tube Reel to reel which has huge caps. So maybe this multimeter is dangerous to use in that environment?

What about mA and uA ?? This is where most of cheap multimeters struggle due to their input resistance

Those probe holders take their shape when you install the probes in them once.

Hi, is there any chance/way to modify the ROM, and so this AN870 will be able to produce the Square Wave Output? I can see the LCD display is ready with the Square Wave Output segment... If so, this AN870 will be the best replacement for AN8008 + AN8009.

The cheapest one at HFT is good for hobbiest purposes. Under $10.00

"On the meter there are some ratings where it says it's a 1000v cat III and 600v cat IV.
I take those cat ratings with a significant grain of salt when it comes to these cheaper budget meters.
I wouldn't use them on any high energy circuits. I would use a more credited brand."

All is said, in fact there is no need to buy a cheap meter cat IV 600v cat III 1000v if you are not going to use it as it should be intented to be used.
When a known brand in this security catergory is about 300$ and this chinese is 55$ the first question that you should ask yourselve before sticking the test probes on high voltage current terminals is: "But where are the $250 of device security & mesurement components that are deducted from the price of the Chinese device?". May be not only $ for the brand logo and color. May be chineses builds are better than other...But, Unlike cats, we only have one life...

Don't do it! A good fluke can cost less than $120.
