Something I just noticed about this clip...when he hits the ball the second time, Harry doesnt look at where the ball goes...he stares at Francis to see how he like it. Later in the film he does the same thing when Francis is attempting to win the US Open and the crowd looks for the ball, Harry stares at Francis. Awesome directing and story telling

In real life, Vardon was paid to do this type of exhibition and was amazed that people would stand around and watch someone hit a ball into a net for hours.

great clip, great movie, amazing actors and will always be remembered as The Greatest Game Ever Played in golf history and all true which is what got me into the history of the game. Harry was a true legend and amazing player. Just imagine playing 72 holes in two days in what they wore and the golf glove weren't even thought off back then. Amazing.
