Bill from CJ's gives you some first impressions of our new 10-Speed Automatic 2018 Mustang that we've named...Cheese Whiz!

Cheese Whiz has the Orange Fury paint option offered by Ford, this popular color really adds some personality to our newest project car, and it compliments well with the black accent package.

Mostly fitted with the standard options, we ordered Cheese Whiz with a lot of future changes in mind. What are those changes? You'll have to wait and see what surprises we have in store, so click subscribe and you won't miss out.

Since 1984 I've been buying 5spd Mustang's, 2019 will be my first auto due to feet issues, thankfully Ford now has the 10spd so I won't be too disappointed.

I agree with you Bill. Three pedal car makes a driving experience more fun. I like to drive my car...not my car drive me. 3 pedal...brings a smile that last and it does not get old and boring.

I am a Mopar guy, but am really impressed with this 10-speed. I know everyone loves a stick but since I have physical issues, I went with an SRT Challenger with auto and love it. Regardless of what people say, an auto shifts quicker

Agreed, I'm sick of the AOD IN my fox body but had I had a newer automatic I'd be able to live with it. Even an r400.
That's actually what I have in my expedition and it rides pretty dam good in itself.

It's amazing how the Bow Tie and the Blue Oval come together and design this transmission. They probably had a sit down like on The Sopranos on how to handle new territory amicably 😁.

would be cool to see this made into a drag car. fwiw mopar in the 60s relied mostly on their automatic when everyone else was still using stick and it helped them dominate the super stock class for years.

I notice it will skip gears when driving mildly (1-3, 2-4 or 3-5).

Hi. I see there is plenty of snow. Is that car fitted with winter tyres? It would be great see the car in some slippery condition and how electronic assistants do the job. For me in Europe this will be an all year round car. Are you able go to roads/lots covered with snow?

Does it have a sport mode? In my Volvo you can slide the shifter over and change the gears

Does this trans do this? The problem I have with these types of transmissions is the delay between the paddles and the actual shift time. When I need a car to go into a gear I need it right then and there. It's cool if it shifts fast while being and automatic and doing it by itself, but if I want to use the paddles and there is a delay it kinda defeats the purpose....

I think the 3.55 is not even needed with 10R80. Wonder if there's any difference in the 1/4 between 3.55 and 3.15
