How to spot fake Stanley Tumbler Real vs Dupe Review

Whenever something gets as popular as Stanley Cups, copycats and knock-offs are sure to follow.

And over the last year or two, it’s only gotten worse — with fakes being mass produced and sold by “influencers” and shady websites alike.

So how can you actually tell if your Stanley Cup is legit or just a convincing fake?

The most common ways to spot a fake Stanley Cup are to check if the logo is too low, look for misspelled words on the bottom, measure to see if the handle is too low, and to see if your Stanley’s color was ever actually released.

40 oz Stanley Cups (which are really the only sized fakes I’ve seen) have about 7/16” between the top lip and the top of the handle.

If the handle is noticeably lower, your Stanley is probably a knock-off.

And the fake lids will not line up.. they only have 2 threads, real has 3..

The one I ended up with from eBay that was sold as "authentic" had the word "dishwasher" kind of messed up on the bottom. The handle was a little lower than the authentic, I could feel the top screw a little bit, the bear logo on the side was a little different, and there was a slight paint mishap around the top color ring, almost like if you used masking tape and there was a little bleed.

Another way to tell is that the handle placement is lower on the dupe.

just learned I had a dupe 😮 had no idea!! I received mine as a Christmas present and it came in the official packaging as well; super crazy how identical they are unless you know what to look for! I have the exact black one pictured in the middle of the video 🫣

Just look in the bottom of the cup if it has a Stanley water bottle with arrows it is genuine.
