Great simple explanations of our Lord's creative and redemptive work! Science can be used to describe and explain Scripture. As a biology and physics teacher, this lesson helps to reaffirm my faith. I pray people struggling with faith versus what secular science teaches will see that we were created for Majesty (Jesus)!

Well, the Bible speaks about what is relevant to us here on Earth and therefore adopts a relatable Earth centric context. Not mentioning things irrelevant to it's intent is not proof of there non existence. If I was to write a book about my interests in life, I would not write about things that fall outside that scope and I'd try to express it in a relatable way. That doesn't mean that such things don't exist. Of course they do. The bible does not state that life doesn't exist elsewhere, it just doesn't mention whether it does or not. It does however indicate that Gods revels in creativity, abundance and diversity. These are among the central aspects of His character. It is almost inconceivable that such a God would not fill his creation with life. The physical evidence is that viruses do exist throughout in nearby space. They are even carried on comets. This is a simple form of life that does indeed exist elsewhere than on earth. This is an observed fact, not speculation. However we do not have the means to locate and identify more complex life, let alone intelligent life elsewhere. The limits of our ability do not exclude the possibility, let alone the probability that can be extrapolated from science or from God's declared and known character. It is simply an unknowable question at this point in time.

I have heard so many preachers speaking outside their field and getting it very wrong, it just makes Christianity look ridiculous. We had one pastor who turned every sermon on any topic into a creationist rant. He denied observed and measured facts. He said that continental drift doesn't exist. Well, I worked for the state mapping and survey control authority. We observe continental drift because it affects the world coordinates of our survey control network. Generally we hold the coordinates as fixed for a period of time, until continental drift shifts them so far that they need to be updated. During my career, we went through 2 full survey network coordinate upgrades due to Continental drift. This is a real time observed and measured process, it is not some esoteric theory or conjecture. Denying the truth makes Christianity look like a stupid superstitious belief which of course it isn't. I just wish that preachers would stop talking such illogical or unknowable nonsense that drives people away from finding faith.

What the physical evidence shows is, there was a time Earth did not have free oxygen but that didn't stop life, it just wasn't oxygen processing. Such life still exists around deep sea hydrothermal vents and it processes sulphur. There was a times when the earth was totally frozen to the equator yet such life existed under the ice. In fact, it was this life that formed atmospheric oxygen upon which life predominantly exists today. These processes are just part of God's creation. It's just not expressed in such literal or scientific terms & detail because the bible isn't a science text book.

The bible is God's redemptive message to humanity. It tells us what is relevant to that purpose. Stop trying to use the bible to disprove science or use science to disprove God. These things are unproductive arguments, that just create contention and controversy that keeps people from finding the faith that would save them.

Why would God limit Himself to only one creation? I believe God created endless creatures in His image, maybe even in other universes. It's ridiculous to think that such an unimaginably big and powerful God limited Himself to creating life in only one place. The Bible is of course focused on human life, because God's Word intended to save us, not give us account of all that He has ever created.

I had a pastor in the 70s when people ask him does he believe there is other intelligent beings in the universe ? He said " what I know of the bible, no, for Jesus would have to die again. And there is only one sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins.!

Isn’t it possible that the Bible, being written for us humans, doesn’t speak of other planets and their life forms because we don’t need to know about them? Which doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
