Our first rehearsal of "Butterfly Kiss" (Takemi's Clinic Music) from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 5, composed by Shoji Meguro, and this version arranged by Patrick Bartley.

Takemi is bae... *AHEM* ERM, ANYWAY, Here's our long-awaited cover of Butterfly Kiss! This one has been in our queue for over a year now, and we're happy to finally do it. It's also surprisingly one of the most difficult tunes we've had to do (pardon the instances of mistakes that may show up)! But this was the first time any of the band has seen the chart, and we did one take immediately after running through it with only 10 minutes left of studio time - so considering that, I'd say they've done a great job!

We love the change in pace this song offers from the songs we normally cover. It opens up even more possibilities for us to, well, be jazz musicians lol. Once again, you hear from Pat on alto and Aaron on guitar, and also, wait for it... a BASS solo (gasp) from our man Brad Miller - the "bass player's bassist". You'll hear all you want to hear from him, nothing flashy, just all groove and nice lines on the low end; but don't be fooled, he's quite experienced, and packs a punch...

Wooo! After nearly a year, we're finally back with another Persona 5 session, and as you can probably already tell, this one is certainly bigger and better than ever before. While we're still learning and getting better at our production skills, we put a lot of time, effort, and hard work into making this session what it is. We're most notably featuring new guests and collaborations for this one in ways that we've never done before, but most importantly, this session was unique because all of you in the community who've been standing by us no matter what. We couldn't have done this without you. Here's to the future!

Now that's one finger-tapping cover for Shoji Meguro's favorite song out of all the songs he composed for P5. :D

“This is my personal favorite track in Persona 5. It starts in a quadruple rather like an irregular meter, then turns into triple meter in the chorus, but while the meter goes back in the bridge the rhythm stays at triple meter. It’s a strange track, but I think that its feminine melody expresses Takemi’s feelings well.”

It's such a great satisfaction watching you guys grow up as musicians and in YouTube as well, I remember the first persona session vids you uploaded and thinking about the little amount of views it had and that you definitely deserve more. I'm glad you have more subs now, you definitely deserve them! Keep this up!! We all admire you a lot :)
