Great video. One small note regarding the shear plate...coherence length of the source is important...if you use the shear plate approach and see no fringes check the coherence length of your source.

Thanks for the series on the basics of optical alignment. I am, however, facing some problems from Beamsplitter cubes. There are many stray beams. Do you have any suggestion regarding this issue? Could you please do an episode on Beamsplitter cube and their alignment? Thanks, Tamal
