Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida showed that they are chokers of highest quality. Chocked in similar fashion at French Open 2024 against the same opponent

Disappointing doubles result, the Japanese pair choked properly in the 3rd. Also without Akane winning impossible. Okuhara in really bad shape, so maybe Miayzaki should have played 2nd singles.

Why didn’t Japan use Yamaguchi in this semi-final? Isn’t she the one having a better chance to win at least one match for Japan?

Shida got the yellow card and rightly so 😂😂. Players like her deserve that

Except for Chen YF, rest of the woman chinese players are build like a tank. Physically strong and menacing. Congrats China.

Okuhara was underperforming so much that the Chinese fans stopped cheering. Even the Chinese players started to look like they were attending a funeral. I think that even though Okuhara still lost anyway, it was very important for her to do as well as she did in the second game. In the end the score isn't very one-sided, so I hope that she can forget about the start of that opening game soon.

I wonder why though. Is it because Japan was out of the Thomas? Is it because of the pressure? Is it because Matsuyama/Shida barely lost that second game?

The bigger question is why didn't they play Yamaguchi?

Why didn't Akane play? Maybe Japan doesn't care about winning this SF.
