I'm officially declaring that it's Propagation Week next week! Spring is just around the corner, which means it'll be far easier to propagate our plants. (As an aside, it also means that we can start fertilizing our plants again—but that's a topic for another video!).

Over the next five days, we'll go over propagating different varieties of common indoor houseplants, so stay tuned!

Very excited for this series! I'm always an advocate for making more plant babies from my already existing babies.. 😁 I feel relatively well-versed with most house plant care, but I've had an odd week of discovering one thing after another that I never knew! One of those being propagation for certain species. Ah, I love it. Would love to see propagation on a variety of peperomias! Idk if they have to be propagated differently or can all be done the same..

I can root lucky bamboo and started with succulents. I think I need more plants this year :)

I hope succulents are included! I just knocked a leaf off of one of mine and was going to attempt it.

Great!😀 Waiting for tips on philodendrons and monsteras. I had no troubles propagating monstera obliqua in water. But monstera deliciosa and rhaph. tetrasperma didn't do well - now I potted them in soil and hopefully they will start growing roots. @SummerRayneOakes do you have any ideas why?

Can you include Calathea? Thanks so much.

Do you have any tips for propagating scindapsus silver?

I would love for someone to address propagating succulents during dormancy. While I know it’s not ideal to do it during this time, leaves fall off or get knocked off and j hate to waste them if I don’t have to. I seem to be fine at getting small roots to sprout but nothing really past that and none have made it to full plant. I’ve tried dry and wet propagation, I’ve got a grow light, I’m contemplating rooting hormone but worried it could burn them.

Would love to see everything except succulents.. such an overrated plant in my opinion but maybe that’s because I can’t keep them alive and they’re too slow growing for my enjoyment lol. And there’s already a huge bit of information online about their propagation. My woodier stem plants are hard to propagate and would love some tips on those (ie, abutilon, fuchsia, bleeding heart). It’s hard to find information about these and others for some reason. Recently got a dorstenia crispa and I can barely find anything about it in English hahaha but that’s half the fun!!
