I watched this and was physically getting ill listening to the waste of my tax dollars. I am currently going through the worst possible financial situation of my life. I am a white male over 50 and a member of the tax paying working community for 35 years. I broke my leg and have been unable to work for 6 months. I was refused unemployment because I had to be able to accept work even though I was not able to stand or walk without assistance from crutches. there are no federal, local or state agencies to help me financially. my home was put in foreclosure by rocket mortgage 3 months into my medical situation. I am losing everything I worked for my entire life and to see that they was paying billions of dollars to other countries and paying 100s of million dollars to house, feed, clothing for illegals in America just makes me question society. I have been suicidal and dealing with severe depression from the stress. It is a damn shame that I am worthless alive and can actually help my family with my death. how disgusting is that.

Now everyone do their homework and go watch previous state of the unions of multiple presidents. Compare, and not just the president's behavior

Trump could have used tonight to address Medicaid, but he didn't because the rumors are true.

Panama Canal "the most expensive project also that was ever built in our country's history if you bring it up to modern day cost" - Donald Trump, State of the Union 2025.

The Panama Canal $375 million (about $12 billion today)

The Great Depression: Immeasurable loss of life and prosperity.
World War II : $4.1 trillion (adjusted for inflation)
The New Deal: $32 billion in the 1930s (about $600 billion today)
United States Interstate Highway System: $425 billion (adjusted for inflation)
World War I: $20 billion (around $300 billion today)
Apollo Program and Moon Landing: $25.4 billion in the 1960s (about $150 billion today, adjusted for inflation)
Manhattan Project: $2 billion (about $30 billion today)

The 2008 Financial Crisis: While the direct fiscal cost to the U.S. government was around $700 billion in terms of immediate bailout and stimulus measures, the total economic cost (considering lost output, tax revenues, and long-term economic damage) has been estimated at a staggering $22 trillion. This reflects the long-term nature of the crisis’s effects on the economy. Yes, America did, in fact, build the 2008 financial crisis with greed, deregulation, and a lack of ethics.

The Panama Canal was initially a French project

A project led by Ferdinand de Lesseps, the French engineer famous for constructing the Suez Canal in Egypt. French Attempt (1880s-1890s) Due to these challenges, the French were forced to abandon the project in 1889, after spending an estimated $287 million. Around 22, 000 workers had died during this period.

The French spent approximately $287 million (about $10 billion today, adjusted for inflation).

Of the approximately 27, 000 total deaths, around 22, 000 were during the French phase (1881–1889). While the majority of the deaths during the French phase of the Panama Canal construction were French workers, there were also many workers from other countries, particularly from the Caribbean, who were hired to work on the project.

After the French abandoned the project, the U.S. negotiated a treaty with Panama (which had gained independence from Colombia) and took control of the canal project in 1904. The U.S. successfully completed the canal in 1914, under the leadership of John F. Stevens and later George W. Goethals.

The United States made significant improvements in sanitation and public health, such as implementing mosquito control and improving medical care, which dramatically reduced the number of deaths. Around 5, 600 workers died during the American phase (1904–1914), a much lower toll compared to the French period.

The U.S. spent approximately $375 million (around $12 billion today, adjusted for inflation).

The total combined French and US cost would be approximately $19.7 billion in 2025.

The Panama Canal is not "the most expensive project also that was ever built in our country's history"

World War II remains the largest and most expensive undertaking in U.S. history, primarily due to its immense scale and the complete mobilization of both the economy and military. Approximately 416, 800 Americans lost their lives during the war, including both military and civilian casualties. The total financial cost of World War II for the United States was around $4.1 trillion when adjusted for inflation to today’s dollars. This monumental effort was guided by two legendary U.S. Presidents, whose leadership laid the foundations for the United States to emerge as a global superpower.

While the Panama Canal remains strategically important, it may not be considered as high-priority compared to other security challenges the U.S. faces, such as cybersecurity or military tensions in regions like the South China Sea.

If there were a genuine and factual interest in securing the United States from adversarial national security threats and Chinese influence, then protecting Taiwan unconditionally from a Chinese invasion would be a top priority, while the United States developed domestic semiconductor manufacturing.

Taiwan plays a critical role in global semiconductor manufacturing, and if Taiwan were to be invaded or fall under Chinese control, it would have significant implications for the global supply of chips, especially for the United States.

The Fact is, most semiconductor manufacturing currently takes place outside of the United States, with a significant portion occurring in Taiwan. What is truth is that semiconductor fabs (fabrication plants) are not easy to build. Establishing a semiconductor manufacturing facility is a highly complex, expensive, and time-consuming process for several reasons.

The machines used to manufacture advanced semiconductor chips, particularly the cutting-edge equipment for extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, are primarily engineered and produced by ASML, a company based in the Netherlands.

In ideal conditions, a semiconductor fab typically takes about 2 to 3 years to build from scratch, though it could take up to 5 years or more for highly advanced fabs like those producing chips at 5nm or smaller.

The CHIPS Act (Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors for America Act) is a U.S. federal law that was signed into law in August 2022 to incentivize the production of semiconductors in the United States. It aims to address the shortage of semiconductors that was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as reduce dependence on foreign manufacturers (particularly in regions like Taiwan and East Asia) for critical technologies like semiconductors.

The United States would face significant challenges—potentially even be crippled—without a steady supply of semiconductors (chips). Semiconductors are the backbone of nearly all modern technologies and industries, so a disruption in their supply could have a severe impact on the U.S. economy, security, and way of life. This Chip Act is the reason why fabs are being ibuilt n the United States.

Donald Trump and tariffs are not the reason why the U.S. was interested in domestic semiconductor manufacturing. The iniative about emphasizing the need to build fabs in the United States started well before Donald Trump's second term.

It feels like there’s hardly a point to watching when so many things are false or misleading.

He claims to have re established free speech, has the best ratings, best economy, but there’s direct evidence against all these things.
