We, all of us who practice, , could do with a Saito sensei to learn with.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Saito Sensei. My heart rate was up by the time you completed your experience of his power. I look forward to listening to more.

When I asked my teacher, Pat Hendricks Sensei, how was like to attack Saito Sensei, she said the same metaphor... Like trying to grab a Marshmellow! 😄

I remember when I grabbed him hard - I don’t know what I was expecting but there was no resistance at all. His wrist felt kind of spongy. I crushed it as hard as I could. He just said too much strength- he then kicked me and threw me with a very hard kokyu and left the mat. I was hurt and nonplussed. It changed my whole way of training. Instead of using force in training I always try to establish position and positive energy not fighting energy now. I still admire that man so much. He is the biggest influence on my life
