How to Properly Remove & Replace a Xbox 360 or Xbox One X-Clamp without special tools

I'm busy repairing my nephew's xbox one s, and all the other videos I've seen, they'd pry it on the other end of the hole, which is much riskier, because your screwdriver can slip and scratch the motherboard. Thank you for this simple, yet effective guide!

Definitely the best way to remove the clamps!! Other videos were telling me to pry at them, but this made them pop right off!

This video is amazing, can't recommend enough. Took my first x-clamp off last week using this technique and it was super easy. Only problem was finding something small yet sturdy enough to slip into the gap. Ended up using a thin punch since it's sturdy enough to not bend any, and small and smooth enough to get into the gap.

Great video! You're the first one to say anything about bending the clamps back before putting it back on. I just replaced the thermal paste in my Xbox One X and now it keeps overheating. I think I may need to buy some new thermal pads but I think this is definitely worth a try while I wait on delivery. Thanks for this :)

lol nice. i also used a screwdriver, but i put it at the front side of the clamp, not left or right of the pin, which wasnt that easy as your idea. that will help a lot

I wish I looked at this before using that dedicated tool and scratching the board... This video helped me the most to remove it but I fear it's already screwed 😔
