Freeee Amad as a 10!!! Our most influential player way way way to deep to truly impact it going forward

dont think we will ever see Dalot, Rashford, Evans in these positions again and Eriksen, Casemiro just wont start whenever Ugarte and Mainoo is fully fit

Grateful to keep learning about the new formation and which players are most successful at it. Another great video!

When I saw the starting XI on Sunday, I thought it was a strange lineup. We scored a goal that Amorim will be pleased with, and conceded a goal that on another day would have sailed over the bar off Mazraoui’s head. Some brilliant Onana saves did keep us in it by the end, but elements are there. Half the team had two training sessions to understand his instructions. Goals will come if we keep feeding the #9. Højlund has been starved since he arrived because of Ten Hag’s obsession with goals from wide forwards. Hopefully now we’ll get to see more of the best from him.

If you look at the press Amorim did before the game was played and the reactions afterwards… he’s visibly shell shocked… stunned even! I think this presents a few interesting talking points, I don’t think he regrets taking the job yet, but I also don’t think he realises how much trouble he’s gotten himself into.
He’s inherited a squad of players who don’t understand football, who aren’t top level professionals in either ability or work ethic and I think it took watching that disaster to realise it. It’s slowly dawning on him how much of a monumental task he has ahead of him. Flushing the squad of almost all the players will take years, and the media backed agenda (regardless of performances) will see him moved on long before he can enact any permanent sort of change.
It also is very relevant that RVN commented after seeing that game… that the players are instructed but DONT LISTEN… major cultural reset needed I think, even if that means releasing large numbers of players, a different and disciplined precedent has to be set to see any progress at all.

Rashford was absolutely abysmal last game, besides the goal, he didn’t contribute anything at all. His pressing, passing and running were very bad. Frankly, we need Hollund on the pitch. We need to realize that we have been patient with Rashford for way too long! Either he steps up his game or straight up need to be benched!

16:23 .. personally I think he did this deliberately. He did indicate that he needed Data on players, I think he will be using a few games to test players in "strange" positions to get data on how they can conform if needed.

We really do have excellent options for the CB roles when you consider Martinez, Shaw and Yoro coming into the conversation. That and Onana makes quite a decent base to build on.

Good analysis bro, really enjoy your videos, thanks, I saw enough in that first game to think we'll be OK under Amorim, I watched a Sky Sports video with Ian Wright discussing the Ipswich game, he said the same, that when Ruben finds his ideal starting XI we'll slowly start to see a different beast in United, a more successful style of play.

I'm hoping he can get a tune out of Hojland but I can see us delving into the market in the summer for another striker, I'll be surprised if we don't see Gyokeres at the club or someone with a proven goalscoring record in the PL that would suit the system, Ollie Watkins is a good shout.

Great content, keep up the good work.

I really hope amad plays as 10, he's our most comfortable attacker on the ball and he holds it so well. Move de ligt rcb, maza or Dalot rwb and amad at ram

He missed the most crucial aspect of the game which is when Bruno was moved to the CM with Ugarte..We controlled the game better and played better when this switch was made.

As predicted, Eriksen & Casemiro cant fit into Amorim's high intensity system.
So can we see more of Ugarte - Bruno partnership and playing Mount as n10?
Especially as we can't rush Mainoo back by playing him every game. He need to slowly get some minutes back, work on his fitness so he'll stay sharp and dont get injured again.

Amorim praised Mount, and we know he has won the CL with Chelsea in that system. If he starts playing game after game, he can be a crucial player in that N10 role.
Meanwhile we seen glimpses of a tactically disciplined Bruno in this game when he played as an 8..
I think he can be a lethal weapon coming from behind, directing the attack when we are in position and combining 1-2s as he did with Hojlund and won a dangerous free kick.

I agree with a lot of the points Dave made but one that stood out as a sore thumb was saying Garnacho was fine. I thought he had a horrid game and looked lost and confused.

I'm a fan of his, so this isn't me dunking on him. I think he just needs time on the training pitch to understand his role better.

In the meantime, I'd move Bruno to the left 10 (it's his natural position if you look at his historic heatmaps). Move Amad to the right 10 as I think he is our other biggest threat going forwards right now and I'm not entirely sure about him defensively.

That means we need a RWB. Until Yoro is fit and Mazraoui can play there instead of RCB, I'd probably play Dalot there. LWB would then need filling. If Shaw and Martinez are fit, then I'd play Shaw there. Otherwise, I'd either blood Amass or even try Antony there.

Footedness has affected us for years. Our attacks pulled left because we had so few left footers in our team. Think about it, face goal receive ball into feet under pressure and try to get it away quickly with your right foot, you naturally knock it leftways off your right instep, but to go right you have to turn your body, use the outside of your foot instead of the natural instep or try out your weaker left foot. We still could do with a few more lefties but at this point i think certain players just have bad habits as a result of that era.

Loved the video & your positive opinion about progress under Amoring though just his 1st match.

Looking forward to another game this week. Amorim said he would rotate so, I'm hoping to see Antony and Malacia replace Amad and Dalot.
Put Amad in the 10 and interested to see what he does with Mount and Zirkzee. I think these 2 might impress in Amorim system.
Whatever it is, let's just see more intensity this game.

Love the Positive Review of the 1st Match of a New System with only 2 Trainings and half the squad away on International Duty.

I thought ball retention through the middle was dreadful. We’re crying out for Mainoo to return. Feels like him, Masraoui and Amad are the only press resistant players we have.
