Does the steel wool feel soft at that thickness? Or is it still kinda wiry and hard?

In my experience, stuff like metal bowls and other items without sharp edges are completely fine to put in a microwave

If you touch a 9V battery to regular fine steel wool it does the same thing.

So, does it leave a fine powder in the microwave? And if so, what is it exactly? Iron oxide?
🤔

Where did you get it?? I’d love to blend it with wool and spin into a yarn!!

Is it still one solid piece after it, or does it break apart either into pieces or a dusty kind of substance? I'm wondering.

Woh that's pretty. I've never harmed myself or the microwave overall, but you can definitely shatter the glass turntable plate when creating superheated plasmas with metal... Even Pyrex has its limits.

Where do you get micron thick steel wool?

Where do you buy such ultra-thin steel wool? The finest I can find is 25 microns, which is like a very fine hair. 1 micron is thinner than a spider web.

Is this the same as lighting it with a battery?
