My late Father-In-Law was a B24 tail gunner in the 93rd BG (Ted's Traveling Circus), 409th BS. In Europe from 1942 until his last (30th) mission on June 6, 1944. Came home and never flew in a plane again.

Don't forget that some 7, 000 B-17's and crews went down. The American Cemetery at Cambridge and elsewhere will remind us all that it was not all great music and fun.

Great grandfather Stanley Burich, tail gunner in a B-24 in Pacific. 22 combat missions
Japan zero rammed wing, crashing the plane. He still doesn't know to this this day if any other of his crew mates survived.

Here's a toast to the host Of those who love the vastness of the sky, To a friend, we send a message of his brother men who fly. We drink to those who gave their all of old, Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold. A toast to the host of men we boast, the Army Aircorps!
Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun; Here they come zooming to meet our thunder, At 'em, boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun now!) Down we dive, spouting our flame from under, Off with one helluva roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey!
Nothing will stop the Army Aircorps! Salute to the WW2 Army Aircorps!
