When a person wheels a handcart to receive concrete at the discharge port of a commercial concrete mixing transport vehicle, the following issues need to be noted :

Safety aspects

- Wear protective equipment :
Helmets, protective gloves, etc. must be worn to prevent the head from being injured by falling objects and the hands from being burned by concrete or pinched by equipment.

- Pay attention to vehicle stability :
Confirm that the mixing transport vehicle is stopped steadily and the parking brake has been engaged to avoid the vehicle moving accidentally and causing danger.

- Keep away from rotating parts :
The mixing drum may still rotate slowly during discharging. Maintain a safe distance from the mixing drum and related transmission parts to prevent clothes and the body from being caught in them.

- Prevent slipping and falling :
There may be spilled concrete in the discharge area, making the ground slippery. Walk carefully to avoid slipping and getting injured.

Operation aspects

- Adjust the position of the handcart :
Wheel the handcart steadily below the discharge port, maintain an appropriate distance from the discharge port to facilitate discharging and prevent excessive concrete splashing. At the same time, ensure that the handcart is in a horizontal state to avoid uneven loading of concrete.

- Control the discharging speed :
Communicate well with the driver of the mixing vehicle. According to the capacity of the handcart and actual needs, reasonably control the discharging speed to avoid the handcart overflowing due to too fast discharging.

- Observe the state of concrete :
Check the slump, workability, etc. of the concrete. If any abnormalities such as segregation or agglomeration of the concrete are found, contact the mixing plant in time.

- Prevent blockage :
Pay attention to whether there is any blockage at the discharge port during the discharging process. If there is a blockage, promptly notify the driver to stop discharging and carry out cleaning. Do not directly remove the blockage with your hands.

- Complete the discharging operation :
After the discharging is completed, promptly wheel the handcart away from the discharge port to avoid affecting the next operation of the mixing vehicle.
