OPC:
Ordinary Portland cement is used for structural elements like slab, beams, columns and footings etc. It gains strength quickly, which can cause cracks so avoided in plaster work. OPC is suitable for projects that require early strength, such as building bridges and buildings.

PPC:
Portland pozzolana cement is used for plastering, brick masonry, tiling and waterproofing, etc work. It has a lower heat of hydration and fewer cracks than OPC. PPC is weaker than OPC during the initial setting stage, but it develops strength over time and often matches or exceeds OPC’s strength. PPC is also more durable and resistant to aggressive chemicals.

PSC:
Portland slag cement is used for structures built near the sea shore i.e. coastal areas. It resistant to sulfate and chloride, and has excellent corrosion resistance properties.
