Any 'bill' issued with a remittance slip could in theory be settled by accepting for value, and redeemed from the trust fund of the legal personality the bill is in the name of, defeating the double dip. The signature allows them to access the cestui que vie trust in the treasury, so they get paid twice. 😢

The government was closed as a corporation earlier this year so are administering nothing.

I noticed they stopped sending payment slips online with OVO, I've tried to get one but they know what I want. I owe £4400 now but I will wait for a payment slip

Cheers Dave ..one question ..if they say..nope were not accepting this ..do they have to return it ..otherwise its still yours ..and if they don't return it ..then what ? Because its well worth a try .

Taking mortgages as an example (talked about 10 mins in) & also playing devils advocate here.. yes the 'money' is just magicked out of thin air to land in your mortgage account once u are vetted (confirmed to be in 'gainful' employment) & ur signature given (commitment that u will carry on being so). Our time in 'work' is the only thing of any value in this whole system & 'money' is a representation of that work already done or being done. Therefore it cannot be the case that the system is deceiving u, rather it is not renumerating or indeed acknowledging ur work enough.
For this not to be the case there would have to be no 'Fat Cats' & therein lies the problem.
