It's incredibly important to find Te applications of type!! Thank you for making this video, it's so needed.

This video could be expanded into a series of videos: each one about the most common problems that one of the 16 types could experience due to their inferior functions, and what can be done to rectify the situation. good video.

I got into MBTI because I wanted to understand how others perceive me since it was always strange for others to see me for who I am.

Thank you for your great points! As INFP I had the lack of Te and saw the world through my own rose glasses but my fiancé INTJ helped me see my biggest flaw. The world is super scary without my rose glasses though lol 😂 ) I always easily achieved whatever I’m interested in ( literally I put my whole heart and mind no matter what lol 😆 since little so it was very hard to see my flaws. MBTI is a great tool to develop my weakness and as a result for personal growth for sure 😊

You have the best content, Asura. Appreciate all your videos but this one in particular speaks volume to me. As a lecturer, I do use MBTI to help weak students improve their focus in class. I once asked an introverted student to sit alone at the far back away from familiar friends. He was able to improve his concentration and performed very well in the end. Another introvert prefers to sit alone but front and centre to be able to focus. You get the picture. Problem is I cannot generalize the approach because every individual is different. A lot of effort is required to get to know each student and help them personally. But you give me hope that MBTI is powerful for personal development. Hope to learn more from you.

My life turned around...well when I parted ways with a religious group, but I was still super lost and unproductive after that; it was realizing that I was way underusing Te in my life as probably an unhealthy INTJ that made a huge change for me. Overall I strongly agree with your positions on how to use MBTI. People like to use it as some kind of prescriptive horoscope and it's just not useful like that :/

Wonderful topic, as always you are so concise and clear in your explanations! One of my biggest pet peeves in listening to/reading discussions on MBTI is the number of people who ask what type they "need" to find as friends, and especially romantic partners based off of their type. It is so frustrating that people boil personality type down to a dating game and take the actual human out of the equation. You hit the nail on the head with this. That is not what MBTI is for. However, approaching the people you do know, and applying their MBTI type as a filter for understanding that person is so very beneficial, especially in communication.

Now that I am more familiar with MBTI, I find I do try and type the people I know, just so I have an understanding of where their approaches to all sorts of topics come from. I have become so much more open-minded to ideologies that drastically differ from my own now that I understand people actually think in a completely different manner from myself. I had always thought people thought the same way, it was just learning and life experiences which shaped their beliefs/desires.

I had always been taught by my very traditionalistic mother (ESFJ) that certain ways of thinking were just immature. Now, I understand that people have different approaches to the world which gives them a different focus from my own, and that does not necessarily mean they are more/less mature than myself. It also leads me to believe that people are far less "unhealthy" as popular culture would like to promote. Certainly their are some people who are in unhealthy states, but the majority of people are just not like-minded to each other which sets up conflicts and prejudices.

Question for you: You mentioned that you figured out what your ESTJ boss would find agreeable in terms based off of his type preferences and engineered your request to cater to that. Certainly this is negotiation at its best, but maybe from a philosophical standpoint, could this not be seen as manipulative? Obviously the two of you came to a quick and amenable outcome which was agreeable to the both of you. I just worry in my life, when I take an approach like that with someone, that there may be an underlying feeling of guilt that perhapse I have used manipulation to achieve my goals.

Nice video. That’s the best application of MBTI that I’ve gotten: for use in understanding confusing aspects of coworkers, bosses, friends, and family. It’s been most helpful in the office environment. Possibly because office interactions are cleaner and simpler than family/friend interactions.

I am very interested in this, I'm INFJ and my husband is ISTP I think. I just started this journey, (spiritual awakening) and would love to learn how to recognize and utilize MBTI, yours is the first I've seen that's a bit more elevated content than those 10 ways to feel normal in the abnormal world as an INFJ videos, lol definitely need more resources on breaking it down, I guess.

Great video! I enjoyed hearing how you have used MBTI to better your life. I am at the point where I have used MBTI for self development purposes but haven't done as much research into how to communicate better with other types so this was informative.

Nice video. In my life, I usually try to type my friends and see what I like about them. I found out that most of my friends are either extroverted intuitives or introverted feelers (I'm INTJ). Doing this kind of exercise makes me enjoy my friendships even more.

What excellent examples to illustrate the practical applications of MBTI in every day life, for both short- and long-term goals, as well as to navigate interpersonal interactions with the entire ecosystem of personalities.

I really like these practical applications. MBTI has definitely given me a framework to see different perspectives and come to an agreement with others.

I just discovered you but you make a ton of fine points I've noticed myself and I'm far from being an expert. I think the J and P are the most confusing thing. P doesn't necessarily mean flexible and J doesn't necessarily mean rigid. It probably differs type to type (right?), but generally, I'd say IXXP are fixed when compared to IXXJ. Cause dom introverted intuition vs dom introverted thinking. That's what I gleaned from vids I watched from you, but something I seen prior. I feel this might often be missed.

If I'm not mistaken the transformative function is your 8th, in your case Si. Si is usually linked with the past, but it's also about self-preservation and body awareness.

Haven't finished watching yet but would like to know how to take care of inferior Si

How do I know if I’m ENTP or INTJ?
I use Fi but I can’t help but doubt if I have NE or NI first.
Idk why but every-once in a while I doubt my type and come to the same conclusion although the doubt is still there why is that?
