As a guy who restores sailboats and who has spent almost 50 years biking, hiking and sailing all around the world, I can't tell you how enjoyable this video is! I must of watch this about 20 times. Something about what these two men have done that keeps bringing me back to it. What a great job they did bringing this boat back to life. All the best everyone.

As a seafarer, I am astonished how these two converted a lifeboat into a boat that can be filled with life. Choosing to live a life to the fullest and enjoying it in a slow pace, using their knowledge as architects and giving the boat a transformation is just amazing, believe me because I've seen many many lifeboats throughout my career. I hope that I can see your boat around Europe or somewhere. Steady as she goes! or in your word STODIG! Safe seas and enjoy life.

As a 9 year old boy I had the chance to spend 60 days in Norway, and from the 1st moment I set foot in country I felt I was home. When the day came we were to leave I told my family I was going to stay and goodbye, well yeah; that didn't happen and I was loaded on the plane back to the States. But after my 22 years of traveling the globe in the Military as a paratrooper. The adventure is in the journey, not how fast you get there, and these guys nailed it! I never found a place that felt more like home than Norway. I really enjoyed their epic journey video and would love to see more of the design plans for their lifeboat modifications. Can't wait for their next video!

Wonderful to live life fully.
Two things I would recommend however is
1. To counter the sideways roll on the boat a couple of Fins attached on bottom of boat say at least 300 millimeters by 2000 long is definitely going to stabilize the roll very much as it has a very rounded belly and this will take the sea sick out of the stomachs to greater level.
2. The Pitch on the propeller was designed for a 100 people wich you no longer need as you're carrying much less weight so going up a notch or three will save a lot on running your diesel engine at lower revolutions to attain same speed .
At your current RPM you will experience a little higher speed with a higher pitch prop if needed.
Normally an increase of at least 2 to 3 inches works magic.

Ps. Problems with feul pump can sometimes be solved by merely giving it a gravity feed directly to injectorpump by means of a small container placed on the roof. Can save the day of lying helpless or being Towed back to Harbor.

Greetings from South Africa.

What a fantastic project and adventure! Brilliant repurpose of the lifeboat and you really did a fine job of reoutfitting her for the journey! The engine trouble is to be expected with an older boat even though it's never really been run before, it's still been sitting in weather for quite sometime. You gentlemen handled it well and did splendidly to get her repaired and ready for more adventures. Excellent video and journal of your adventure! Thank you for sharing!

Greeting from America 🇺🇸 Nice scenery and job well done guys. One of my friend’s father would travel here in America by trawler from Northern Maine to Florida every year and stop at different places for the night and what a trip those must have been. Thanks again

Absolutly love the design of the interior. The windows make the space like 3x bigger. Planning well done!

This is one of the very best videos I've seen...ever! Very well worth the time to watch. It has just enough detail to be interesting without being the least bit boring. Shackleton is the star of the show, as I expected. Many, many thanks for making it available.

I'm just crying. What you did was so beautiful. The lifeboat, the adventures, the freedom to choose alternatively between an isolated life and society. That was extraordinary. I am nomadic too in the same way.

Excellent film and inspirational project. Your adventure teaches us that there are other ways to travel and be in this world, centered just outside the rat race, closer to the natural rhythms of the sea, the sky and and the landscape. Bravo! Norway is such an amazing country, and I dont think you could have made a better choice for your year ( or so) of slow travel. Norway is the land of slow TV after all, and I have enjoyed hours of train travel through the beauty of the countryside.... so your whole approach fits right in. I, for one, hope that you are continuing to make more of these long form videos. Winter in Tromso on board would be much an interesting subject. Lastly, Guyleee, I just wonder if, perhaps you are working for a dear friend of mine, Snorre Stinessen who has an office in Tromso. I met him several years ago while doing a video on his amazing project at Manshausen Island. After seeing this video I wrote him with the link, so even if you don't work for him, you might want to reach out to him. He is an outstanding architect and a genuinely great human being. Keep up your inspirational projects, and thank you for this beautiful and thought provoking film.

This was an amazing quality video! One thing I would have liked to have seen was a tour of the interior of the boat and what your living space looked like.

Beautiful on every level. The underlying concept, the boat, the people, the dog, the photography, the music, and - of course - the scenery. Thank you!

What an amazing journey. First the journey of refitting a lifeboat to a working live aboard. Then to take it to Tromso above the arctic circle.
