Is this a petty world?” I love how these questions are asked throughout the song and the pressure builds until Thorfinn screams out on a bloody battlefield as the sole survivor, “Hey, anybody, answer my questions!” The fact it can be anybody, even Askelad answering his questions shows how far he’s gone and him being alone a a battlefield with no one to hear him and answer. Chilling. He’s truly alone.

This series is really on it's way too becoming the next big legend for some reason after seeing the ending me and my cousins who were with me at the time were talking about how good the ending was and I started thinking of that moment in kuroko no basket when kagami was recognized by the generation of miracles this show really had me jaw dropped the whole way through from thors death till askeladds backstory I was amazed and that ending which went back showed us everything that had happened man summer of 2019 was goated

Simply one of the best OPs ever. That transition of Thorfin going from small boy to vengeful teenager looks badass at first until you realise how tragic his journey is. Like the best OPs this hits deeper the more of the series you watch so that each new episode brings more resonance to the OP. The song absolutely slaps as well.

Vinland Saga is one of those stories that makes you realize that there is an inherent beauty to life from all periods of time. Sure, we have modern commodities that the Vikings didn't, but I don't necessarily believe that means that your lives today are at their core better than theirs were, because they too had dreams and desires, families, they too lived lives that at their core were beautiful. Vinland Saga screams this truth out with an unmatched power that strikes a chord in those who read/watch it.
