reminds me of when I worked in produce. We had a bin of watermelons that went up in June and left around early October. Somehow, one melon managed to slip under the cardboard liner and hid from us all summer long. When we found it, it looked just like this boiled one, only darker. It was like a deflated basket ball half-filled with water. One of us finally decided to see what was inside, so they grabbed a knife and slice it open.

All the lactofermented watermelon juice spilled out and onto the floor, and the entire back room smelled like corpse made out of gym socks. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Sausage!
