Hebron: The Reality of Israeli Settlement in Palestine // Behind The Wall

It’s widely known that there are Jewish settlements in Palestinian territory, but very few people know what the lives of people are actually like in these isolated districts.
I traveled to Hebron, a Palestinian city that has Israeli settlements right in the middle of the city itself, and managed to enter a Jewish neighborhood surrounded by barbed wire fences and checkpoints.
In this video, I’m going to share what I saw and experienced in this controversial section of Hebron.
This video is the second video of my Hebron trip, so if you haven’t seen the previous one, please check it out as well↓

I am not Palestinian nor Muslim but have been following this conflict since years. I always wondered how it would be if i visited these places. And then this video showed up and I am so glad it did. I wish you could meet Palestinians in person. They're all truly resilient people.

I'm a palestinian Christian and I thank you for taking that trip and showing the truth. We live like that everyday there and worse. I got lucky and my family got out in the 80s. Free Palestine

The little boy at the end made me ball my eyes out suddenly. I am praying for these innocent souls. They are entitled to happy, free, and peaceful lives. ♥️🙏🏼✨

It’s so strange for me to see my hometown through your eyes.. Hebron is the city of my ancestors and yet I cannot sit foot there because of the apartheid! Can you believe that my father can’t even go to Palestine in general? And he’s of Palestinian ancestory, even his Jordanian passport couldn’t grant him the ability to go there. It’s strange, seeing Herron through your lense, it’s heartbreaking for me, yet so endearing! I’m connected to the city all along, it’s like it has my heart. As if was born there. As if I took my first steps there. As if I grow older and raise my children there. As if I were to die there.. Hebron is a beautiful city, ancient I’d say. If we were to equate the Palestinian cities to people, Hebron would be this sweet elderly who has seen much, who loves much and has all the stories from the past. Thank you for giving me a tour in my hometown.

It’s eye opening seeing what people said about this place! Open air prison, apartheid and occupation! So accurate and can’t imagine living as Palestinian dealing and experiencing all these checkpoints. There is no freedom.

I like and appreciate this video. I’ve been to Hebron, on the Muslim side of the site. Even for me as a foreign tourist I had to go through checkpoints constantly. Watching them living under military occupation everyday is painful, it was so different from how I lived my life in my country. It’s devastating.

I’m Palestinian, I had friends from the states and Europe come to visit. Israel always tries to prevent visitors from going into West Bank or keep you staying with their tour guides by saying it’s dangerous, or because we are “Islamists”. Don’t believe them, they don’t want you to see our reality. There are many Palestinians who are willing to tour with you in old towns like this, sometimes for free (it happened with some friends in Hebron). There are also lot of Palestinian shops who rely on tourism. Please come visit!

It was eye opening. I'm so sorry to the Palestinians for us being so ignorant on your sufferings.
We'll continue to raise our voices until we see a free Palestine 🇵🇸🇵🇸
God bless these resilient, brave people

I have always learned, studied and watched documentaries, books, and videos about Palestine. I always refused to be fed by western media, but this video is the best proof of what I believed in. I wanted to visit there like this myself, but I did not make a decision to do so, and now I felt like I would never have a chance to witness it myself after the war that is going on now, there will be less evidence remains. Thank you.

Thank you! As you are Japanese, and I assume not Jewish/Muslim/Christian, it is helpful to get your less biased perspective on Isreal/Palestine. You are helping bring peace in your own way, one Youtube click at a time.

How is this appartheid even possible in the 21st. century. How has this been tolerated and supported for so long, it is mindblowing to me. I hope the whole world can finally see the injustice and things will change. I admire Palestinians for holding their heads high. Free Palestine ❤

Thank you for showing us the truth, it's so sad to see Palestinian living in apartheid and no freedom. Sending prayers and love for them, the voiceless and the oppressed Palestinian people.

It’s so scary to live under such control by the military forces😢 may Palestinians be free of the occupation

This video is great. It is more transparent than any other documentaries made by the BBC or other major western and Asian media outlets. As a Chinese-American, I feel a deep sense of pain and sadness whenever I see Palestinians and their children. It is heartbreaking to imagine what Palestine used to be like, and how innocent people and children have been killed and their homes and schools destroyed.

“Wagyu wagyu, feed me wagyu” was so cringe and oddly racist to say it that way lol

As an outsider living in a different world from them. It makes me sad. It’s obviously some kind a colonial prison. We live in such dark times!!!

It’s sad to see Palestinians be treated like prisoners in their own homes

As a Palestinian, I am very grateful to you for showing people the Palestinian side through your platform. I come from Ramallah and was once in Hebron. My heart breaks when I think about Gasa and what has been done to us Palestinians for years (since 1947). Palestine is a holy place for so many people where Christians, Jews and Muslims are supposed to live together peacefully. You can see it in the faces of the people. We welcome everyone and only want peace and freedom. Please don't be fooled by the Zionists and the media. I live in Germany and know how manipulative the media can be. So please do your own research and form your own opinion. Thanks to the people who stand for Palestine 🇵🇸❤
