since budew is coming is going to make the game one turn slower, that allows you to attach energy to charizard (charmander) first turn, get item locked on your opponents turn, but then you can just evo chari with the tree and just attach another energy from your hand. The tree also allows you to do a nice play, rare candy dusknoir pop it, then rod the dusknoir back to the deck, thorton for duskull, and then use tree to get another dusknoir. Or if you already have two dusclops in play, and your opponent has 4 prizes, you can do the same play with rod dusknoir to do it twice, and then briar, that will allow you to get 4 prizes in one turn.

As one of many who got the battle league decj but is new to the tcg, this deck is very helpful. Can i just confirm: if i evolve my charmander into charmeleon with Grand Tree, can i then choose not to evolve into a Charizard, then evolve Charmeleon into Charizard from my hand on the same turn?

ngl I would remove one arven and add colress so i can get grand tree
another change that im not sure yet will be to remove one zard ex and/or remove one ultra ball then add a TM evo and/or a town store
lastly but idk which to cut, but to add an energy search to guarantee that you can TM evo after getting budew'd...

okay forgive (because who am I go argue with 1sst place but it seems to me, given this meta's desire not to give you opponent new cards, I think a much more valuable choice would have been the Pokemon catcher. I think the disruption to the opponent is valuable, and given Pidg, the ease of an item. (rather another supporter you can't play this turn etc). two iono seems plenty to me
