Well, Edwardian hats were the giant flat hats of the suffragettes with plumes and such. Your hat is actually more of a regency bonnet. But its a lovely regency bonnet.

It's really pretty and understandable. The only thing that slightly annoys me is, that it's more of a regency/early Victorian bonnet than a Edwardian one.

Thank you! I wear lolita and can't find a bonnet to match my dream jsk and this is so helpful!

Instructions unclear. I put it on my manly head and now I'm feeling fabulous.

Very beautiful Bonnet Irene! I really think it's awesome that you spend the time to create such cool pieces for your shoots! I especially like when you design your own bouquets for your fairy style shoots! I'm always stoked to see what you come up with! Thank you for sharing this DIY project with us! Cheers from Boston!

Thanks for sharing. I also adore Regency Era clothing and hats. I just join a Regency Society in my state which I have to make 3-4 ball gowns and 6 day dresses. I collected hat for the spring thru fall but I do not have any straw hats. I will be using your DIY straw hat project as my own.

Wow, beautiful!! Thank you for the tutorial. The instructions were clear and the end result was pretty. However, I wondered if the underside in the back (the part that meets the neck) should have been finished along the edge in some way? Also, what about filling the crown so that it is a bit fuller/stiffer, as the Regency bonnets were?
