Here is how to use split operations on the FT991. It is REALLY easy!
Often if there is a station that Everyone wants in their logbook, that station will transmit on a particular frequency, but listen for incoming on a different frequency, often 5 kHz higher than the transmit frequency. In order to get that elusive station in the log, we have to transmit on a frequency that is 5 kHz higher than the one we are listening on, hence "split operations."
