I always know IMMEDIATELY when I walk in the door if my golden retriever did something he shouldn't have. He happily runs to me for pets, then remembers his guilt and runs to his bed and flops over into submissive mode. Usually it's because he's chewed my right slipper or tore up some toilet paper 🤣
