Trump ran on creating a meritocracy but DOGE is firing based on a probationary period. I'm sure these amounts of people can be laid off, but it needs to be the slackers and it needs to be after the work processes has been streamlined and improved.

There are a dozen supervisors, directors, etc. to every hands on worker. It is these hands on workers that are important to get things done. The rest above carry very little value to the job getting done. Remove from the top down and you will have big savings with no impact.
