I was a sinner, saved by grace. Now I'm a new creature. As a sinner, sinning was congruent with who I was and felt natural. As a new creature in Christ, I have the victory over sin, and if I do sin, it's not congruent with who I am and doesn't feel right. This mindset helps the sinning to stop without struggling so much, like when I embraced being a sinner.
