Blizzard Dev äußert sich zu der Raid Schwierigkeit und sagt Leute sollen Retail und Co spielen..

If SoD really is that experimental platform that Blizzard is using to come up with an actual classic+, that would be great news.

Well for one, i hope this just means they plan on adding horizontal questing and zones, dungeons and raids. Nothing that even goes over the power level that level 60s have in vanilla, just extra, optional routes for questing, different dungeons you could run in place of existing dungeons, with comparable but different loot. Add more armor and qeapons, but dont make them any stronger than the stuff that exists in vanilla, just add gear to make all specs legitimately viable. If they want to add spells or abilities to classes that desperately need them to be viable(like ret paladin) they would need to trim some spells and abilities as to not break specs.
An example of this would be say adding a dungeon to redridge mountains that has the same level range as SFK, with different but equally powerful loot, spread across other classes/specs desired stats. Maybe add some optional class quests, like instead of the WW axe quest chain, you could do a different class quest at the same level for a different weapon, but it locks you out of the ww quest. Allow each character you level to have a truly unique leveling experience.

15 years from now we will have 42 different versions of Classic.

Is it reasonable to expect a Classic+ announcement around the same time we get more info about Midnight?

I think they put to many abilities in SOD. Think you tone it down some. Make the gameplay a tad faster but not this much faster and develop new dungeons and raids while maintaining the vibes of classic and it will be perfect. It’s a tough job to do but we are close

SOD had way too much power creek and some runes were kind of hard to find and i felt could have been better connected with lore. I hope they lower the power scaling and make it like more options rather than new metas.

A real question: what will you all classic handy do when it become Retail with time? I mean...

Sod isn't classic plus, it's cata light

I’ll be able to make my own classic plus in a few years with life like player base

2023-2025 = season of disappointment
2026-2028 = classic fail

I think Classic plus is the way to go.
Like with Old School Runescape. Keep the classic feel and core game but add specific content. I think it works really well.

What would classic plus have beyond what's in classic?

One thing I hope they do if they ever do another SOD again is release all the rune info prior to launch so we know what we’re getting with each class because as each phase progressed, I had serious FOMO. EX: shamans were garbage P1. P2 left me feeling as though something was still missing, so I rerolled. As the phases progressed, shaman got fun again. I’d also like to see runes from prior phase available via reals like it is now, but it wasn’t always that way.

Nice words, John Blizzard.
I can't wait for them to mean nothing.

Just what we needed. More versions of WoW.
bartuslongus
most people called this on classic wow launch. knew it was gonna become just like old school runescape. in a couple years we will see the same mechs back and forth across both games.

I know everyone’s classic+ is different but I’d love it if they made classic with a few of the QOL changes from SOD such as hunters being able to use traps in combat and dual wield on shamans. Then after reaching the end of vanilla we’d get TBC with a few more changes. Then we’d get new raids, dungeons and updates instead of expansions.
