My favorite part about Defeat and Black and Grey as a whole is how the entire mod is just played off for laughs, with every impostor being dumb, but then for Grey and Black's songs, all pretenses drop. There's no more silliness. They go from "ahaha red is so stupid" to a genuine fight for your life. I wish more joke mods would do stuff like this.

1:28 I noticed something here. When I listened to the new Defeat when it was released early, this part's vocals sounds like the newer vocals. But when listening to this part, the vocals sound different. My theory is that this part here was not originally intended, but was added later in development, probably because one of the team members suggested them to do this. But hey, that's just a theory, A GAME THEORY! I'm out!

i was scared of this song because i never beat it back when you needed to fc it,

then i got to it, set it to "5 misses allowed". i died at the fast part at the end on the first try, and then *FC'D IT*
Its nice to see i actually got a lot better over time - gonna have to replay some older mods - namely vs qt's termination and maybe og ballistic

In this update, we can see black with new sprites;
🔄, in his idle sprite, we can see an serious and menacing black imposter with his classic transit orange cone, his knife and his red mic.
Also with his red flackering eye.
In the ⬆️ arrow sprite,
he show us his big mouth with his cutting and sharps teeths.
On the ⬇️ arrow sprite, we can see how he killed his own teammate, white, showing us his head and 2 parts of his body.
In the ⬅️ arrow sprite, he will point us, how we lose the game for him, and also could be a reference to vs tricky and his left arrow sprite.
➡️, and in this one we can see how he get a bit closer at us, litteraly mencionating in any moment we will be killed one more time for him, and we can't do nothing to stop him.

In some moment of the song, we can see in the background the mountain of his bodies, showing us how many crewmates he ended their life.
And we can see BF sprites trying to fight with him an cover himself to not get killed for black.

In another moment of the song, we can see a Flashback how black's defeat song was looking, giving us a bit of nostalgy, how this mod was growing up slowly but with great quality.
Later the flashback ends and we back to the present, fighting with him.

And at the end of the song, we can see how he kill us once more time, and the screen covered in red, ending the song.

I really like that there isn't only death crewmates, there is also bf's dead bodies. That little detail just literally saying to us "you have already died so much time, why are you still trying?"
I'm surprised that nobody were saying about it, it's not that hard to see
