I still buy CDs. As long as they are done right. They have amazing sound. All my discs are 24 bit remastered. So that being said. This player is up my alley. As far as streaming goes. Thanks but no thanks

Thanks Eric for the video -I been spinning the silver disk since 89' Another feature I like with the CD60 is the detachable power Cable, The AKM 4490 dac chip is a solid performer and also used in many Modern outboard dacs . Also the heaphone amp backed by Marantz SA2 HDAM Technogy (opamp) Means plenty of powaaa. I am a big fan of Marantz and Crutchfield Top Level Customer service Hard to Beat I speak from expierence 😆 Thanks

Marantz needs redesign the PM8006 to match with this model, Model 40 is too expensive.

This CD60 player looks very much like the Model 40n. So, if I want to combine them aesthetically, I will be basically buying 2 separate DACs. What's the point? The CD60 has a dac, the Model 40n also has a DAC.
Isn't Marantz aware of device modularity? I'm harsh, but I think I have a point.

Nobody buys CD;s any more. Marantz should concentrate on a quality digital streamer/hdd player, I currently have all my CD;s archived on 3 separate passport hdd;s played via Itunes and ripped with their lossless encoder. Sure this player might sound slightly better than playing off my hdmi cable from my PC but its way overpriced and sure as hell not anywhere near as flexible.
