My kid has appeared for UG NEET 2024 and scored 695 marks and has all india rank of 1931. We are domicile of Andhra Pradesh.

We have applied for KEA admissions as per the advised process as we wanted to join St. John's medical college as it is on our priority list. We have filled in only this one single option.

He has got St. John's allotted in the final allottment list released for round 1.

I have queries regarding the subsequent process.

1. We have AFMC on our priority list as my kid want so to join the armed forces. AFMC result will be released on 6th or 7th september. As my kid wants to join the army if he gets a chance to do so, our priority therefore is AFMC 1st and St. John's 2nd. We have to leave St. John's if we get AFMC allotted. In that case what would be the procedure to leave St. John's if we exercise choice 1 (as we have filled only one choice which is St. John's).
2. In the KEA brochure, it is given that we have to opt for any of choices 1 to 4 for the allottment that we get in round 1. As St. John's is the only option that we filled in round 1 in KEA, we will have to opt for choice 1 only as per my understanding. How do we resign from St. John's if we get an opportunity to move to AFMC. Should we resign from St. John's and also submit the resignation to KEA also (as KEA madated that resignation in any karnataka medical college should be done both at the level of the medical college as well as the KEA office)?
3. St. John's prospectus says that if we discontinue the course before the course commencement itself, there will be a refund of the fee after deduction of 10% of the fee paid. Will KEA also adhere to this with regards to St. John's medical college with regards to fee refund when we resign before commencement of the course.
4. Is it possible for us to exercise choice 2 for St. John's even though we have filled only one option among the medical colleges.

Please guide us in this matter as we are getting a clash of dates for joining St. John's and AFMC. Also as we are from guntur, the travel time from Guntur (our native place) to Bangalore to Pune (for AFMC) will be a lot strainful if the schedules of these colleges overlap a lot.
