The tactical wheel needs to be top-down view or free camera you cannot see anything while it is activated. Makes the name "tactical" irrelevant.

Many are blinded with nostalgia, and they won't remember Origin's combat was terrible, it was a target lock horrible WoW like clone. Back then was great, but it has aged very poorly. Action combat is prefered in modern RPGs, either that or full tactical, with turns (Baldur's Gate 3). An isometric, turn based Dragon Age maybe interesting, but that half there action with lock on... Horrible. Many people asking for a Origins 2.0 and they don't know what they are asking for. Bioware always went towards action combat. With that said... This combat actually looks terrible. I mean... It looks terrible. It's just a button smashing with a lot of unnecesary itemization and skill trees. It seems it has a parry system you don't even need, a stagerring mechanic only the enemies suffered with, making them basicaly training potato sacks... Too flashy. I don't like it. I will still play it for the story, so far every dragon age had a great story (Dragon age 2 was the only thing good, story and characters), but... Uf. This combat really disencourages me.

It looks fun plus the combat looks close to Dragon Age 2’s gameplay which I enjoyed

While the music sounds good and combat looks fluid and fun, the designs, especially the darkspawn, look bad.

this looks kinda neat for a mobile game, but it would be really cool if they made a proper follow-up to DA:I for consoles and PC

Recently Greedfall 2 was showcased at some event and they said "we overhauled the combat going in a more tactical direction, it's sorta like Dragon Age". Well, I guess it meant Veilguard couldn't have a regular dragon age combat system at all lol

The UI....is this a mobile game? well at least we can slot around 3 actives for each character...sigh...

This is a great step in the right direction. Mix of strategic pause to use abilities and command teammates (DAO) with combos and button mashing (DAI). I am hyped!!

I think it's becoming more and more obvious that at one point this was a live service mmo.

We get finishers! And drop-kicking darkspawn off of ledges is going to be my new past-time. Plus Ghilinain's mutated creatures, a double blight, and Dread Wolf in wolf form. As an OG (BG1, BG2, and DAO) fan who still plays those games .... I genuinely can't wait for this next installment in the series.

Healthpots in the world to heal you. Thats the stupidest thing yet. And what's with the inventory no separate slots for boots and gloves?

This is what happens when ESG funding creates a game for game journalists.

If it wasn't for the cutscenes you'd have no idea this was a Dragon Age game while playing it.

Honestly I am quite happy about the combat, I am replaying mass effect with the legendary edition and it's very close to mass effect 3, I am sure many agree dragon age 2 was the best combat wise and it was the more action oriented one so it's logical they tried to go back to it's combat system, I like that they added mass effect 3 primer and combo system. the only thing I dislike is limiting your number of skills, they did it since andromeda, I want to use every skill I unlock I do not like when they force you to choose a few of them at least it's 4 and not 3 like andromeda ...

the grey border around the entire gameplay is the lens of insecurity.

Well my excitement has been nerfed like the combat. Also judging from the character designs I'm guessing the modern dating simulator is where devs spent their effort.

Not hating on this and I will definitely play it but this is not what I want a new Dragon Age to look like.
