It could be from yelling a lot in her childhood and from singing and such. Miley Cyrus has a similar issue (like diagnose given by a doctor) that her voice has been permanently changed by singing and such throughout her childhood, which as left it raspy. She said they said it was something that actually doesn’t happen much to people her age, so it’s definitely from overusing her voice and Jojo might be in the same boat.
