I use Linux, and most Linux distributions ship Firefox. And unlike IE/Edge/Safari, it’s actually a good browser, so I don’t really have a reason to go out of my way to change it.

ppl dont think of those benefits. Its just an alternative. Lots of ppl don't want to use the most used software. So firefox, opera, etc. are used.

Can someone make me a pros and cons argument as to which browser is best? I use chrome literally, because of its popularity, but I’ve heard that I should try Firefox, Vivaldi and opera and anytime people try to explain to me why chrome is bad it just sounds like “chrome is ran by corporation boogeyman Google therefore it’s bad”

Firefox is way better. Especially when it comes to customizability or running really powerful Add-ons.

Many reasons, you have a lot of options (even more if you use about:config), firefox respect your privacy more then google, better adblock and better at blocking web fingerprint, trackers (I believe chrome will make adblock worse in future) better bookmark managment etc.

Firefox mobile needs way more work.

I would recommend some sort of IDE integration for WASM and maybe Rust.

See, I am hammering on this for a reason. Mozilla can make this happen, and it would improve adoption rates to have this level of integration possible.

Firefox has better features on Andriod. Ad block in particular. That's why I use it exclusively.

i have virtual machines running like 80% of the time and they use a lot of ram so i use firefox for less memory consumption

chrome is sht, people started using it because it had integration with google search other than that it's slow, totally unprivate and eats tons of RAM I don't understand these people using it instead of brave or firefox
