U can skip 14-16 days with hammer of building meanwhile u can skip only 8 days with hammer of heroes and it costs a lot more, you can use free hero books to slowly get your heroes to max while prioritising your troops and buildings first, ever since the equipments the levels don’t improve that much compared to before

Hammer of heroes is a waste of league medals to be honest. Relying on such a scarce resource to upgrade your heroes is not ideal, since the wars you will miss while upgrading your heroes is nothing compared to the 165 league medals you will be spending.

Currently, I use my league medals to purchase hammers for the lab or building upgrades but when I max out, I will be getting those skins, particularly for the king and grand Warden

I prefer the builder potions as I constantly have all builders focused on defenses max of 5 for 50 hours discounted on 5 builders that is a value of 250 hours, 300 if you have the 6th builder

Builder and Research potions are the best. Hammers have a 7 day cooldown period so they take quite a bit of time. Hammer of building is way better after you have upgraded townhalls, you want to have your lab and clan castle done quickly for each townhall level. You can take advantage of the higher level troops and new cc donations.

Even though the skins and war scenery dont provide any progression, I think they have the highest value as they are legendary skins (or a scenery), which can only be bought with real money most of the time. At least with most of the magic items, they can be obtained completely free so the value youre getting from legendary skins/scenery.

Saved up over 2000 medals. Maxed th15 1000%. Went to th16 got all 7(goblin builder) builders going relatively quickly and only spent 900 medals on on builder potions. Finished my eagle, mono, scatters, infernos instantly. Builder potions are best value imo only if you get all your builders going

One thing I think u should’ve mentioned is whether or not u are about to finish a townhall. This is because no matter what townhall u are (at least I’m pretty sure), you always wanna get a Hammer of Buildings for the lab, so you can get it leveled up as soon as possible. Obviously important so you can start upgrading your most important troops immediately, as well as that 5 day boost to your troops, which is lab dependent

Use hammer of building to upgrade the lab so you can start troop upgrades as soon as your TH is upgraded. Might even be best to use one on barracks to enable efficiency in farming.

Slight caveat to hammer of building, good for barracks. Training time sucks if a barrack is down I use them here. Without you are hindering your ability to farm or donate if you are active.

Important points that you missed:
1. Builder potions are better value than hammers only when the upgrade takes 8.33 days or less with 5 builders (10 days if 6 builders), basic maths
2. If you get 3 research potions for raid medals every week, you really shouldn't focus on hammers of fighting (HoF)
3. While HoF is very useful for maxing the most important army comp instantly, the better value is just from upgrading DE troops that also take long.
4. Hammer of heroes is just a waste of medals, really. The upgrades take 8 days at most (lvls 81-95, no gold pass), meanwhile upgrades at TH16 can take up to 16 days with no gold pass. So it's only useful when you're fully maxed and just waiting for a new town hall level.

And most importantly, if you get lab bottlenecks, you're just playing wrong, because when strategic rushing you get the most important stuff, avoid bottlenecks and in the end max several times faster because of magic items value and CWL.
