Vivaldi's 4 seasons always manages to surface some tears for me knowing how little he benefited from the genius of his work while alive. My great grandfather Alberto Alibrandi was a conductor in Rome and is said to have been a huge Vivaldi Fan - one of his by then famous compatriots and idols.
