I have the P238 impact driver and it's a great tool to have. I bought it earlier this year and have no interest in getting the new one as the P238 may be bigger, but gets the job done at ease. Great comparison video.

Is it me or does the 238 have a lot more wobble

This compact impact is not designed for the hp batteries cause the two extra contacts are not there that's the first flaw. The second is the mag trey isn't there and I can honestly say that's one thing I always boasted about Ryobi drills that other drills didn't have. The only good thing is it maybe lighter and a little more compact. If you ask me Ryobi really messed up. If your gonna upgrade you don't throw away the good features from the last upgrade

One feature you did not discuss. I believe the larger Ryobi impact driver has a three speed selector on the rear of the tool, is that correct? If so, does the speed selector provide an advantage in function?

Are the batteries interchangeable? More specifically will the lithium+ battery work in the compact hp tool?

Why did you compare a compact weak impact against ryobis top dog until the pblid02 came out you need to compare the p238 to the pblid02 this is stupid

On another note, could you please tell me the title name of the acoustic guitar song in your videos? I play guitar and have been looking for the name of the song for ages. Thanks, in advance.

Just be aware, other reviewers have noted a *significant* difference using different capacity and types (lithium, lithium+, high performance) batteries.

If your goal is to compare the tools themselves, use the exact same battery when doing so.

The p238 is the superior tool because it is an intelligent tool that uses the intelligent batteries better were the compact tool is brushless but not intelligent lacking the third point battery connection plus the p238 has three separate speed settings.
