What a beautiful work of art. Your lighting; composition, sound design and movement are what makes this so good. This could have been shot on countless cameras, but only by you.

This video alone has put my 7 years of filmmaking to the bin

I've never watched a more cinematic approach to a camera review in all my days of consuming YouTube content...and I have been here since the beginning. Bravo.

Every once in a while, someone finds a new, unique way to stand apart from the crowd of copy-paste content creators and make something really special. This is definitely one of those moments.

You were able to add value to the conversation while still showcasing your obvious talent. Bravo.

You've just made it a lot harder for me to watch me now to watch 'normal' YouTube content without finding it disappointing! I've no idea how much time, planning and effort went into making this short (other than a LOT) but just WOW. There are very few creators in this space making content of this quality... the shot selection, the lighting, the careful sound design, the acting, the grading all add up to an incredibly professional result.

I am genuinely in awe of skill and talent like yours and it makes your conclusion even more true... it's got so little to do with how much kit you own and so much to do with how you use it. Congratulations. That was amazing... Liked. Subscribed. Inspired!

This is bloody brilliant.

The epiphany of this realization was Gareth Edwards shooting his film, “The Creator” on $3, 300 Sony FX3 body…

Essentially they wanted a very small portable camera system that gave the film makers “freedom of movement”, and a system that allowed them to shoot clean files at higher ISO’s, so they could use minimal lighting for a more dramatic effect during dark scenes.

On a smaller content creator context: Chris Prouse produces beautifully cinematic outdoor/back country films with a small Panasonic LUMIX G9 kit.

There’s beautiful work being created with small Fuji kits. Small Sony (a6700 sized) kits.

Seems like all of my favorite film makers use small fairly inexpensive gear.

This makes me happy, as it makes this craft of film making and photography more accessible…

Loved the quote at the end.
I think nowadays people are obsessed with cameras when most of what makes the so called "cinematic look" comes from lighting mostly. And most importantly is what you make with the tools. It's so easy to fall into the gear rabbit hole.

3. Kudos to you and your team, this is one of the best and most cinematic videos on YouTube.

To watch your videos is to experience a humbling reminder of the true art of storytelling. You are not merely a filmmaker—you are a visionary, weaving the threads of life, emotion, and truth into a tapestry that transcends the screen. Cinema is far from dead; it pulses with life here, in the works you craft and share. On your YouTube channel, it finds new breath. Long live cinema!

Every video is like a movie. Absolutely phenomenal! Btw, your video on the X-H2S started my journey into actually getting a Fujifilm and completely changing all of my equipment into Fujifilm. Thank you so much!

I realized that what makes his work look so incredible is that he has master the concept of foreground, midground, background. If you look at almost every frame, there is some kind of foreground object that helps to add depth to his shots. Keep up the amazing work.

I got hooked on your videos not just for the practical and educational content, but for how it's scripted and filmed. It's more than a tutorial, it's a detailed demonstration of technique! How amazing is that? I'm more photographer than cinematographer, but one thing I've learned is that lighting is king/queen and command of it is everything. Thanks for the beautiful example of process!

What abrilliant way to showcase a technical video. Creating a cinematic story as the backdrop to your video is genius and really shows off your knowledge in film production.
