ThankYou! so much for this simple (once you know how...) directional video! I had been watching you whip finish your wonderful creations using that particular design whip-finisher, I had to get one! I was given one of a different design shape but you made the job look so much easier! And your nifty idea of grinding a cutting edge to the bottom of your finisher impressed me no end!!! :) ThankYou! for all your video's!!! Great demo on showing the proper way to whip finish. A whip finish is wrapping the thread around itself app 4-5 turns working toward the eye than pull it through. I have seen many tyers just make several wraps on a hook and even heard pro's say a whip finish is nothing more than a series of half hitches. That is incorrect and your video properly demonstrates the proper way.

Thanks! I make my own crappie and walleye jigs, and I have had the hardest time Whip Finishing. So bad that I started just doing it by hand and leaving my whip finish tool in my box.  Rotating the tool around a ¼ oz jighead can be tough, but because of your video, I saw the one little thing I've been doing wrong.  Appreciating the good info from IN!

I find that whip finishing by hand (without a tool) is faster and easier. It's the first way i learned how to do it.
Because of this, I can never seem to remember how to use this tool. Thanks for the video.
