Having to ask whether interracial marriage is a right you have in 2022 really shows how much progress we've made since the 1950s.

The sad thing is that marriage equality shouldn’t be put to a vote at all any more than a vote on slavery or women’s right to vote or segregation

It's funny to me how everytime we try to pass a law it's like "still some 200 Republicans voted against the Stop Human Suffering Act". Meanwhile the Democrats are like "yeah we proposed this law, but basic human rights just aren't high on our list of priorities right now guys."

That person in the suit looked down at the little girls and shook her hand and head 'no' at them and veered away from them. It was very obvious. It hurts bc it's blatant rejection, not just overlooking them. It hurts bc black children have to learn social rejection and racism at an age when all the other children get to enjoy just being children.

ngl: the little black girl doing a cartwheel and transitioning seamlessly to a flurry of punches was both impressive and adorable.

As a former Disney cast member this is why you have character attendants to help direct the characters attention if there’s low visibility or drastic height differences.

It needs to be made public who votes against this legislation in the Senate. It will be every Republican, sure, but everyone in the country deserves to know who is actively working against the happiness and well-being of the American people

The mascot couldn't see properly, meanwhile the mascot wave a "no-no" hand gesture in front of the children🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's kinda sad that grown adults need to be trained to not exclude children

Rosita looked down to hug and high-five other children, then looked down directly at those girls and wave NO!
Sesame is full of bs!

As a fursuiter, I can attest that your vision and hearing are greatly impacted when you are in a suit. I will also note that mascot costumes are built differently from fursuits. Mascot costumes are generally made for multiple wearers, so the fit may not be right. Fursuiters often get their suits made specifically for them.

That being said, the character definitely saw those children. If she had just kept walking without any acknowledgement, I would buy that they didn't see them. The shaking of the head the the dismissive gesture shows that she clearly saw them. I find it more upsetting that this wasn't a one-off. This is ridiculous and they should honestly be fired. Fursuiters have suits for a number of reasons, but if you are a mascot like this, your sole purpose is to entertain the public and promote the brand.

Haven’t seen Ronny in forever. I know he’s been doing other things (which is great for him!) but you guys gotta get him in more segments. Also haven’t seen Desi since Roe got overturned

As someone who's worked as costumed characters in theme parks, I can attest that the design of that costume would allow a very clear view for the performer to see those little girls, equivalent to the view out of a football or motorcycle helmet. Beyond that, you're trained to know your blind spots and where to reach out, which is easier with the help of a handler to telegraph which direction they're coming. Their actions -- waving off and shaking their head at the two girls -- were deliberate and shameful to see.

If the Rosita performer didn't see them, why did they shake their head at them and wave them off?

6:53 You have to see the children to wave “no” at them-

On the voting for Obama based on his name thing. No joke, my elementary/middle school had a mock election to learn about democracy and such, and most kids voted for Obama because he had a cooler name lol

A suit designed specifically for interaction with children has a blind spot at child height that just seems to only affect those with darker complexions? Sounds plausible
