JOURNEY but it's not where we get our sick shoes or that song from Family Guy. When Kurt Ballou (Converge, producer of every metal album you love from the past two decades) says he wants to cover the literal first Journey song you know he's gonna make it shred!

This cover features:

Kurt Ballou: Converge, GodCity Studio
dude look at these albums he worked on

Stephen Brodsky: Mutoid Man, Cave In, Old Man Gloom

Marrissa Nadler: Solo artist and Droneflower (with Mr. Brodsky and Emily Lee)

Ian Miller: Kowloon Walled City, Puig Destroyer (awesome baseball-themed grindcore band), Skankin' Pickle

Nick Bellmore: Dee Snyder, Toxic Holocaust, Jasta

Jordan Olds aka Gwarsenio Hall

Mixed by Kurt Ballou
Cover Composed by Kurt Ballou
Special thanks to Saint Vitus, Tom Smo, and Nick Smo

Next week will be our 30th cover this year (technically we did even more!!!) celebrate by forcing all your friends to watch your old favorites and threatening to abandon them if they don't subscribe!

This cover made me want to go find the original Journey song. I had no idea they were more prog-rock back in the early 70's. Great album!

Once again an awesome performance by everybody.

One takeaway I have from this video is since
Gwarsenio Hall gave up his apartment in New York City he is now living in a cave in Central Park with his dog :)

I’m a pretty big classic rock fan and have to admit, I’ve never heard this song in my life. After hearing your version, it’s been stuck in my head all day, and marrisa’s vocals make it incredibly haunting. Amazing job
