Everything was perfect for the clothes, the wings, the details, the actors. Nothing was left of details, to the point you the viewers are thinking was you witness was from the Royal family or the Firm.

The last few seasons of The Crown have been a perfect example of an end result that is less than the sum of its parts. The amount of work, skill and talent that clearly goes into it is astounding and yet, outside of the odd moment where everything manages to come together just right, on the whole it still somehow ends up falling flat.

It was great because some was based on what happened. As we seen n the news or clippings whether where the fabrication lays, we know some bared the truth like names or places. Maybe some wording but in general we can see how hard it is to be a royal, how they do have their own issues and like any family someone bares the crown of whatever. I hope people cannot leave them alone. I think there is enough insights to learn it is never easy to be in any type families whether with importance or non importance. It is always issues some where.

Is 2:25 from a deleted scene or will it be seen in season 6? I saw a picture with her striped trousers, but didn't recognized it in season 5.

Eliz.Denicki did a great job, but she was way too thin--for me, it was so distracting. PD was thin, but not the same .

All very well done. However, so much of the season dealing with the tragic Diana and Charles story, has been done again, and again, and again.
Yes, it was a very significant event; yes, Diana was remarkable, yes, poor Diana et al.
However, with dozens of books, dozens of documentaries, dozens of tv movies all on the exact same story - it just feels so redundant.
What are the story writers saying that hasn't already been presented literally thousands of times?
