Walking water is a fun experiment in which paper towels transfer water from one cup to another. When you use different color water it makes the demonstration interesting.
In science experiments, you have three main variables. The independent, dependent, and control or constant variables.
The walking water experiment will help you learn about these variables.

The control or control group is not the same as the controlled variables or constants. Students often get these mixed up. The control is that part of the experiment that is not tested. It is usrd as a bsdis of comparison to the ecperimental group. The constants or controlled variables are those factors that remain the same " constant" in the control group and the ecperimental group.
