The 2005 agreement between Canada and the US expired two years ago. So why wasn't Christy Clark negotiating a NEW agreement??

It's about US jobs. The US wants raw Canadian logs to be shipped to the US sawmills. By putting massive tariffs on Canadian finished lumber it can cause sawmills in Canada to shut down. That is the US agenda, just bring in the raw product from Canada. The US needs Canadian lumber, so reduce or eliminate selling the US raw logs.
