Steve, its great to see you having the deserved success. I want you to know I do not miss anything you produce. I'm just not much of a talker, lol. Wishing you and CaHR every success. #Go10K

Great instructions. Reading the latest firmware, it now looks like CAT control is included

What I'm curious about is how well it handles CW, AKA how comfortable is it to send using the electronic keyer

That is cool and small Steve. I am getting closer to that digital mode rabbit hole, thank you

Love the video. I haven’t done FT8 with it yet. Just having fun seeing if I can break pileups hunting parks. So far not to bad.

N4QM got one of the a couple months ‘fore Dayton 2022 & has had a grand time with it. Me & the ‘705 same-same. It’s really amazing what a few Watts can do with FT8. Even grabbed a Q with Norway on 17m. Nice video. 73 de W8IJN

Do you know where I could get a spare USB cable for this rig? It seems like all the USB to 3.5mm cables out there aren’t wired like the one that came with my FX-4C. 73 de N9ZCD

Thanks for the information Steve. Good stuff. Question: My FX-4C menu only has 12 items and none are ALC. Yours has 23 or more menu items from what I can see in the video. Any idea why that may be?

Are you going to do anymore videos on this radio??

That simple? I'm going to try it today! Have you had much luck using this rig with FLDIGI or JS8Call?

Another great video. What firmware version do you have installed Steve? Mine is 1.1 and doesn't show ALC in the menu. I tried ft8 and I make contacts but the power output is not stable.

Hello, how did you expand the menu? I have until 12 with you, I see that it is until 23. Thank you, I am waiting for your answer

Thanks for the video Steve. How much have you played with this radio over the past year? I've borrowed the FX-4CR from @N1JUR for the week and having some difficulty with the BT functionality on transmit only. I'll look around for other videos that may have some tips to getting the BT audio configured properly. Looks like the USB connection is really simple, so I appreciate you sharing that. 73 bud.

I am excited to see this!!! Waiting for a more detailed look at this one... but my ADHD may force me to buy one while I wait!!!

Tearing my hair out with FX-4CR trying to get the digital modes running. I have Ubuntu 22.04. I can press the SSB button any which way I like and I can't get the DIG_U up on the screen. I bought from BG2FX who I emailed about this and no reply. I can't get the rig to switch out of using the internal microphone as its audio in rather than the USB. USB audio working fine as the output from the radio to feed WSJTX. But, aaaaghh, can't get the radio to use my computer's output as its input. This is my second and last Chinese rig, at least for the moment - many glowing reviews from trusted people on YT but, yeah. EA5HQ.

Sorry price seems high. But as clones come out might get cheaper...

Thank you TO for sharing that video but, you lost me when the talk started about FT8. I just want to be a simple ham radio operator, I don't want to use a computer with ham radio. That probably sounds a little boring but, I don't want to mix both. I just want to use my portable ham radio and my handheld. Thank you again TO.
