Roland Jupiter-8, patch demo & (Rush- 'Subdivisions') cover, intro

Hi :) This is a short patch demo video of Jupiter-8 in split mode with patch 34 in both the U and L section. Each patch is programmed with slightly different VCF and VCA Env settings.
Also I am playing the first minute of Rush's 'Subdivisions". It is not a full cover as I am playing just the first minute of "Subdivisions" to feature Jupiter's massive sound, in split mode.
In split mode, Jupiter-8 is divided into 2, 4-voice synth sections.

I like how you changed it up a little bit while still keeping it essentially the same. I also love the sound you used for it :)

Sweet. Gotta love the JP-8! :-) Nicely done.

I don't know if he did, but I did when I created my patch back in in '90 and it sounded pretty close to identical.

ohhh I HAD to listen to this one! LOL
I created THE perfect Subdivisions patch back in '90 on a Korg DW8000. This sounds close, but you might want to get rid of the oscillating vibrato. I don't remember the original sawtooth wave sound of the Oberheim OB-X that Geddy used sounding like that. it's also not exactly how the song is played, but overall sounds great! :-)

HI :) Yes the oscillations ( PWM/LFO rate) seem slower on the original song in the original sound than what I have on JP.
OB-X? hmmm, :) Do you know if he used a saw waveform on both VCOs?
Rush is the best ever! :)
